Wesley’s world view is developing rapidly. There are the good guys and the bad guys and not much in between. I don’t think it because Wesley is making intellectual leaps and becoming philosophical. Nope, it’s not that at all. He found Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on Netflix. Wahoo. Yep, it is just as bad as it was on the 90′s. Haha. Since this new found television series there little battles have turned epic and life is just one battlefield. I have to give it to him though, he sets up his toys very intricately for these battles, he has a flare for the drama.

Wesley has also continued to nurture his new love of legos. He is starting to develop an interest in reading and writing, which is kind of exciting. He has finally started to try to write his name. He will not attempt the “S” though. So, I guess rather than his name, he can write “we” perfectly. TC and Wesley are thick into the Harry Potter series, as they are working on III. I think they’ll have to find a new series after this one. Wesley also continues to be a game organizer. He is always creating games off the cuff, with very elaborate rules. If you don’t follow the rules accurately you can expect to be publicly scorned (I can’t figure out where this trait came from?!).

Wesley has also developed a fear of the dark. This doesn’t change anything too much. Instead of sneaking in our bed in the middle of the night he now runs in, slams our door, gets to bed and pulls my hair. By the morning everyone is in our bed. Apparently Hollis is also afraid of the dark. Or afraid of his co-sleeper which is roughly three inches from me. Oh well, I wouldn’t want it any other way. They are only this young for a short time and if they want to snuggle with me, I welcome it, sincerely.
Hollis has been a bit of a bad baby recently. For starters he will have NOTHING to do with solid foods. I’m talking about gums clenched shut, head turning, lips sealed I-am-not-going-to-put-that-in-my-mouth, you can’t trick me because I have amazing peripheral vision when it comes to someone trying to sneak solids into my mouth, kind of reaction to baby food. It is awesome, he is nearly 7 months (what?!). He also had a double ear infection and has that same reaction to his antibiotics. He has actually developed a new strategy of gurgling out the antibiotics after you think you have successfully gotten them in his mouth. It is quite a scene, and actually impressive. He has a lot of determination.

But, he really isn’t a bad baby after all. He is completely perfect and adorable. He is happy round the clock, loves to sit and play, loves big brother, and LOVES stuffed animals. He particularly likes the singing puppy he got from my aunt at Christmas. It makes him very happy, like extremely happy. He also adores the bouncy chair, he squeals jumps around, and gets quite the cardio workout completed. He started to babble the “ba-ba’s” and likes to squeal in a high pitched voice. He is funny, easy going, and just as sweet as can be. He’s a keeper it turns out.

and the boys in Wimberley…
